They are completely different programs. The HP fat loss is more complete but more gradual. It first programs the body to be more efficient at burning fat for fuel THEN on the maximum fat burn. Where the first program might work quicker if you are fairly lean to start with but will not have long lasting effect on your capacity to use fat for fuel.
I’m currently in Week 1 of Phase 2 of the original Fat Loss/Body Comp program, I am enjoying it and will see it through to the end. Given they are quite different would it be okay to then move right into the HP Fat Loss Program, or would it be best to do something else such as Power Building Program?
I’m 37 and currently about 18% body fat with a goal to get back down to 10%-12%. I’m hoping to reach this goal by April next year when we start pre-season training for hockey (in Australia). Basically my goal is to be fitter, leaner and faster than I was this year.
